Major Milestone Reached on the State Route 76 Widening and Re-Alignment Project
On the morning of Tuesday March 10, 2009, a major milestone on Route 76 Widening and Re-Alignment project, located from I-15 to 1.5 miles east was accomplished. A significant portion of the new roadway has been constructed, with two of the four new lanes now open to the public. The new 1.5 mile stretch of State Route 76 has been straightened which allows for quicker and more convenient travelling. This accomplishment allows for uninterrupted traffic flow through to the Pala and Pauma Casinos to the east. No delays to traffic are expected for at least two months when the contractor will be installing railing on the east end of the project. Any future delays to traffic will be minimal. The project is currently scheduled for completion mid September of this year.
