Highway 76 ScheduleCALTRANS CUTS RIBBON WITH PALA TRIBE AND GRANITE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY North San Diego County (September 21, 2009) – The Pala Band of Mission Indians, Granite Construction Company, Southern California Region, and Caltrans recently cut the ribbon on a 1.3 mile section of road on State Route 76. The September 16 ceremony celebrated the completion of the widening and realignment project that broke ground on June 20, 2008. Major Milestone Reached on the State Route 76 Widening and Re-Alignment Project First Step Taken Toward Needed SR76 Improvement Northern San Diego County. After more than eighteen years, the first step has finally been taken toward widening and straightening a key 1.3-mile stretch of SR76 from Interstate 15 east towards Pala.
